Demystifying Chinese Investment in Australia

Recognising the lack of fact-based information on Chinese investment in Australia, KPMG and The University of Sydney on 20 June 2011 formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding to work together to debunk the myths surrounding Chinese investment. The event was held in Shanghai and witnessed by the NSW Premier Barry O’Farrell, who was leading a trade mission to China.

Our platform is based on our business intelligence series – Demystifying Chinese Investment in Australia.

In March 2014, we published the 7th in our series of Demystifying reports, which have been widely referred to by Australian and Chinese government bodies and media.

The fact based analysis which is presented in a clear, consistent and accessible format gives readers (and now users) the option to compare data by industry, location and year and provides a perspective on how Australia is faring relative to other competitors in attracting Chinese investment capital.
